Expanding and modernising community facilities to meet the needs of a diverse and growing community.
The revitalisation of Mount Druitt Hub is funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program which is aimed at enhancing community facilities.
This project includes expanding and modernising the existing Mount Druitt Hub, constructing a new two-storey wing for the existing building which will feature a children’s library, open-plan study spaces, and meeting and activity rooms accommodating up to 250 people.
The new community hub and library is one part of a larger Council masterplan for the Mount Druitt precinct. Two further major projects to enhance the precinct under the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program is an upgrade to Mount Druitt Swimming Centre and construction of a First Nations Cultural Hub. The precinct plan also includes improved connectivity for pedestrians and cars, creating a more vibrant and accessible centre.
The APP Group was engaged as Program Manager for the delivery of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program for Blacktown City Council. Our team will be delivering projects through the project lifecycle, from ideas inception to commissioning and operations, working closely with Blacktown City Council to significantly enhance the lives and livelihoods of the community.
Construction is scheduled to commence in early to mid-2026 and expected to be completed by late 2027.
