Bureau Veritas has completed the integration of The APP Group. The business, now known as Bureau Veritas Buildings and Infrastructure Pty Ltd, has announced Melanie Kurzydlo as its Vice President – Buildings and Infrastructure for the Pacific region.
Melanie will evolve and grow the business as it seeks to unlock new market opportunities in Australia and New Zealand across buildings, infrastructure and defence under the Bureau Veritas brand.
The APP Group has enjoyed a proud 36-year history delivering best-in-market Assurance and Project Delivery services across many of Australia’s marquee assignments including Sydney Airport Parallel Runway, Sydney Olympics, Geoscience Australia Building, the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix, Sydney Metro, Melbourne’s West Gate Tunnel, Chadstone Shopping Centre and the Cross River Rail in Brisbane.
Folding The APP Group brand into Bureau Veritas will capitalise on the combined strength of one united business, delivering scale, specialised expertise, and service excellence to clients.

Melanie Kurzydlo will now report to Bureau Veritas’ Andrew Mortimore and The APP Group’s outgoing CEO Adam Castro will remain on the Bureau Veritas Buildings and Infrastructure Pty Ltd Board as a non-executive Director.

Prior to her appointment, Melanie served as Chief Executive of The APP Group’s Property and Social Infrastructure business. Recognised for her leadership and commitment to purpose‑driven organisations, she also contributes her expertise across several boards, including the UNSW Foundation, the GWS Giants Foundation, the Hassell Advisory Board, and the ADA UNSW Advisory Council.
