Karingal Hub Shopping Centre

Karingal Hub Shopping Centre is a thriving retail destination and is located in close proximity to the Peninsular Link freeway. The owners ISPT saw an opportunity to increase market share and decided to refurbish the existing mall with additional features to enhance the shopping experience, including entertainment options and social gathering places. 

The APP Group was engaged by ISPT to project manage all three stages and we provided masterplanning services, superintendency and tenancy delivery for this project. The redevelopment was implemented in three stages and resulted in an additional floor area increasing the centre by 12,000 sqm. 

Stage one involved a market style fresh food precinct featuring 28 fresh food and specialty food retailers, MarketPlace Fresh grocer, and supermarkets including Coles and Aldi. Stage two included a new fashion precinct with more than 40 stores including Cotton On Megastore, Sussan, Supre and Bonds Outlet. The final stage was the development of the community Town Square that connected to the new entertainment and dining precinct. 

Karingal Hub is aiming for a four-star Green Star rating. The centre has a natural air ventilation system, an automated system that monitors carbon dioxide, a 1.3MW photovoltaic system, and a recycling and waste program to reduce the impact on the environment.
