ALDI Logistics Network

Delivering the national backbone of ALDI’s logistic network.

Since supermarket chain ALDI first arrived in Australia in 2001, it has steadily built up a market share of around 10%, offering consumers a strong alternative to the two major brands in the grocery market.

Right from the start, ALDI partnered with The APP Group to support with building of its organisational, supply chain and physical infrastructure. The first project to deliver was a 53,000sqm site and ALDI’s second logistics facility in Australia. Following the successful delivery, The APP Group was given the responsibility for a program of logistics facilities throughout Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia.

While securing larger sites within urban areas is a challenge, our team apply a full range of commercial real estate services to manage all aspects of the acquisitions, from market analysis to property and transaction strategy, due diligence, negotiation and deal finalisation.

ALDI continues to work with The APP Group to refine its logistic network and distribution centres, and our team are also managing a national program of upgrades to more than 300 ALDI retail stores.
