Flagship office building
Stockland wanted to construct a flagship building in the Perth CBD that was leading-edge in both design and environmental initiatives.
In our role as project manager, APP:
- Developed the project brief
- Managed the design development to the point of procuring the contractor
- Harnessed the construction knowledge and capability of the contractor to develop innovative ideas into practical solutions
- Developed the relationship between the client and the contractor to the point where they were equally motivated to deliver a unique and innovative building.
Leading-edge innovation
The 7,350m2, multiple-award-winning building incorporated a range of innovative features, many of which were firsts in the WA market – such as an automated louvre façade that wrapped the western side of the building.
Achievement
The floor layout and building form were designed to make optimum use of the available space. The finished building provided Stockland with a future-proof and commercially viable product.
The development surpassed expectations, achieving a 5-star NABERS rating and 6 Greenstar rating – the only one in Western Australia.
