Perth CBD Bonus Plot Ratio Framework Development
Building on City of Perth’s strategic framework for urban growth.
The APP Group was engaged to review and advise on the City of Perth’s proposed new development bonus framework, which will provide plot ratio incentives for development that incorporate strategic outcomes and public benefits – expanding its existing successful bonus framework.
Our team undertook a comprehensive review of the proposed policy in the context of industry considerations and application practicalities.
The APP Group collaborated with key city practitioners, private market developers, the City’s Design Review panel, and various other stakeholders to gather valuable insights and perspectives that shaped key components of the framework. Proposed approaches were also tested on key sites across the CBD.
Our work culminated in a series of recommendations, outlining an extensive array of adjustments and implementation considerations, to assist the City with its ongoing finalisation and eventual implementation of the new policy.
