APP and the Raise Foundation



Since 2018, APP has focused on supporting youth mental health through our charity partner Raise Foundation. Raise Foundation offers early intervention, evidence-based mentoring for young people in high schools with trained, independent adults with whom they can develop a trusting relationship.

Each year, in the regions where Raise runs school mentoring programs, we offer our staff the opportunity to undergo accredited mentor training and participate in the 22-week program. Through this mentor program, young people build resilience to navigate challenges, believe in themselves and others, and are equipped to shape a purposeful life.

Lisa Stephens, Raise Foundation’s Partnerships Relationships Manager, welcomes our participation: “We are so grateful for the support APP has provided Raise whether it be employees raising their hand to mentor or marketing assistance. We are proud of APP’s advocacy; they have as always looked for ways where they can help us to further the awareness of our youth mentoring programs. Mentoring a young person, who needs a trusted adult in their life to listen to them without judgement, is needed now more than ever before. Thank you, APP!”

APP’s Reconciliation journey

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) July 2022 to July 2024 was formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia in June 2022. 

Our vision for reconciliation is to embed the recognition, acknowledgement, and celebration of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians into our core business with increased opportunities for both employment and sustained career development and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses to participate in our supply chain.

Our goal is to increase First Nations’ employment in the property and infrastructure industries via a university pathway so that First Nations peoples have a leading voice in the development of Australia.
