Landmark renewable energy project
The Mumbida Wind Farm project was developed to supply 55MW renewable electricity into the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), south of Geraldton in WA.
It was developed by a joint venture between the WA State Government and Macquarie Capital, Mumbida Wind Farm Pty Ltd.
Up to the point of connection to the SWIS, the development was designed, procured, installed and commissioned by a consortium of contractors under a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contract.
Ensuring quality and compliance
As with any major infrastructure project, the WA Government and Macquarie Capital needed to be certain that the design and construction were being carried out in accordance with the contract.
APP was appointed as the owner’s engineer. Our team of technical specialists were responsible for providing certification services to Mumbida throughout the design, construction, commissioning and testing phases of the development, to ensure compliance with all contract requirements and quality, safety and environmental standards.
