Stage 1 of this project is now complete and consists of an expansion to the Aged Care facilities and renovation into one new four-story building that allows enough space to increase the beds to 97.
Stage 2 is currently underway and will consist of completing of a 14-bed Supported Rooming House and an expansion to the Hands on Health Clinic facilities that deliver allied health services.
Stage 3 will be a refurbishment and expansion of the safe and open access Women’s House and Stage 4, the final stage, is expected to be completed in 2021 will be the construction of a centralised hub.
APP was appointed to project manage the SHM redevelopment when funding of this redevelopment was secured in 2016 with a $25 million investment from several funding partners, including the Federal Government and through various fundraising ventures initiated by SHM.
