The Stage 1 opening included the new North and South Grandstands, themed to reflect both the coastal and hinterland beauty of the Coffs Coast, as well as the Hub building offering a co-located office for local sports administrators and Stadium event organisers.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack said this major redevelopment is an important investment in the economic future of Coffs Harbour.
APP is Project Manager of the $13M project which saw Stage 1 opening on time for the National Touch League championship this week. As part of the Project Control Group, APP works closely with Coffs Harbour City Council to manage the Design and Construct contract undertaken by Lipman Pty Ltd.
Already underway, Stage 2 involves a redesign and refurbishment of the original grandstand which was completed in 1994, and is due to open later in 2019.
