Responsibility a reality for APP’s Graduates

It’s that time of year again when we open the application process for the following year’s APP Graduate Program. Our 2014 Victorian Graduates have now transitioned out of the Graduate Program into dedicated project management roles with APP, making way for our current 2015 Graduates: Casey Brasher and Marko Matvikov.
Responsibility a reality for APP’s Graduates

Casey started with APP in late October. Destined to be working on the Formular 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, she started the weekend of the MotoGP at Philip Island where APP provides project management support services. Coming from a background in architectural drafting, Casey made the move to the delivery phase of projects and joins APP fresh out of her Construction Management degree. Just over three months into her new career and she’s loving it! She’s both amazed and delighted at the level of responsibility she’s been awarded and is thoroughly enjoying the challenging yet supportive environment. Casey plans to use the opportunity of the Graduate Program to further identify which career path she intends to embark upon.

Marko joined APP having graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Engineering – Civil (Hons), deliberating over the decision to pursue a Contracting or Client-side project management career. Having become deeply embedded in complex projects within just over three months with APP, Marko is confident that he’s made the right decision. He’s currently working on the redevelopment of a large commercial office building and a commercial office refurbishment feasibility exercise for another project.  He’s thoroughly enjoying the responsibility he’s been awarded on projects and the face time with Clients.

From APP’s perspective, the Graduate Program is a rewarding process. It’s great to work with and encourage Graduates who are passionate about the industry and to see them develop their skills. The nature of projects is that they’re constantly changing and moving forward and in the same vein we’re excited to see where Casey and Marko’s careers take them.

Applications for the 2016 Graduate Program are open until 30 April 2015, visit our webpage for more information.
