Leanne has a civil engineering degree with a diverse experience portfolio in urban renewal, aged care, affordable housing, remote Aboriginal communities and town / community revitalisation strategies.
She has led state priority strategic projects, including the $180M 5-year Roebourne Rejuvenation Project, where she worked closely with the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi communities on improving opportunities through town revitalisation. As well as the 30-year container terminal (expansion) strategy and business case for the Port of Melbourne.
Leanne has led the facilitation for front end strategic and business planning for coordinated urban, regional and infrastructure planning, often involving very diverse stakeholders, government, private and the not-for-profit and community.
Leanne is a passionate aviator, with a commercial pilot licence (she loved the learning so much she had to keep going) and night rating. She has flown across Australia twice in a light aircraft raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and is currently kicking off a 5-year project to build her own aircraft, a Vans RV10. She also loves her two cheeky border collies and trips away with them and her partner in their camper trailer.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Leanne.
