Brigidine College nears completion

The Technology Centre includes two levels of carparking accessed via Fairley Street and three levels of teaching and learning spaces, satellite staff facilities and student amenities.

Architecturally, the building is conceived as having ‘bookends’ of openable/closable classrooms to the open space and street. In between, classrooms and laboratories align either side of a naturally-ventilated corridor, with louvred glazing allowing air flow across the building.

Brigidine College is Queensland’s only Brigidine school, offering a Catholic all girls secondary education for approximately 800 students in Years 7 to 12. Founded in 1929, the College has a leading reputation for being one of Brisbane’s top all girls’ schools with over 97% of Year 12 graduates being offered their first or second preference into tertiary placements, and Year 7 and 9 NAPLAN results being 96-100% above national standard.

APP’s Project Director Peter Fraser, along with Rob Camping and Tegwen Hunter form our delivery team for the project.
