AQUAS appointed to NSW Government hospital redevelopment projects

APP subsidiary AQUAS has been engaged by Health Infrastructure NSW (HI) for a further three hospital redevelopment projects to undertake periodic independent environmental audits, following their work on the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Stage 2 Redevelopment.
AQUAS appointed to NSW Government hospital redevelopment projects

AQUAS was first appointed by HI in June 2018, in conjunction with APP, to undertake periodic independent environmental audits for the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital redevelopment, and has since been engaged for another three NSW Hospital Redevelopment projects: Lismore, Mudgee and Nepean, with more in the pipeline. Health Infrastructure is managing over 90 infrastructure projects across NSW.

In June 2018 the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DoPE) issued a new requirement for State Significant Developments to have independent audits undertaken in accordance with conditions of consent. This requirement came into effect for SSD Applications approved after July 2018 (where specified by the conditions of consent or approval).

As the independent environmental audits are a compulsory requirement for State Significant Projects, AQUAS environmental auditors will continue performing this work and will take this opportunity to expand their services to other Hospital redevelopments within NSW.
