APP is proud to announce our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia for July 2022 to July 2024.

There are four stages to the reconciliation journey; Reflect, Innovate, Stretch and Elevate.

APP’s Innovate RAP will provide a framework to help our business achieve our vision for, and our commitment to reconciliation under the three RAP pillars of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.

It will act as a guide for embedding the recognition, acknowledgement, and celebration of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into our core business.

APP’s Chief Executive Officer Adam Castro shared, “Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan is an important step on our reconciliation journey. We have opportunities to create lasting impacts with our people, our clients, and the communities in which we operate by making our commitment to reconciliation central to what we do.”

Karen Mundine Chief Executive Officer Reconciliation Australia shared, “Reconciliation Australia commends APP’s formal endorsement of its inaugural Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan. Commencing an Innovate RAP is a crucial and rewarding period in an organisation’s reconciliation journey. It is a time to build strong foundations and relationships, ensuring sustainable, thoughtful, and impactful RAP outcomes into the future.”

The key commitments of the APP Innovate RAP includes a review of HR policies and procedures to identify anti-discrimination provisions, develop a strategy to address Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment, retention, and professional development, and provide cultural learning opportunities for all staff, including senior leaders.

These actions are meaningful steps toward APP building stronger foundations and relationships, showing respect, and creating opportunities that enhance economic and social outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

In developing the APP Innovate RAP, we commissioned Wiradjuri artist Leticia Quince to create an exclusive and engaging artwork piece to feature throughout the document.
