APP appointed as Independent Certifier for Western Australia’s Great Eastern Highway Bypass Interchanges project

Greater Connect Alliance has appointed APP as Independent Certifier for the Great Eastern Highway Bypass Interchanges (GEHBI) project. Design partner SMEC will undertake the design constructability review. This achievement comes on the back of APP’s work on the Tonkin Gap project and the Armadale Road to North Lake Road Bridge project.

The GEHBI project will be designed and delivered by the Greater Connect Alliance – comprising Laing O’Rourke, AECOM and Arcadis, in partnership with Main Roads. The project includes construction of two new major interchanges, a four-lane bridge over the Helena River, and the final link in a 30km Principal Shared Path connection on Roe Highway, among other major developments and upgrades.

Over 85,000 road users will benefit from the project, relieving congestion, improving connectivity and safety.

APP is pleased to be involved in this significant infrastructure project in WA, which forms part of the State’s economic recovery from Covid-19. The project further solidifies APP’s credentials as leading provider nationally of Independent Assurance services for infrastructure and property.

APP’s role commenced in September 2021 with completion planned in October 2024.
