Property and Infrastructure Specialists
Upon moving to Melbourne from Mildura, a country town in North West Victoria, my career path was undefined as I had an interest in many fields upon completing my schooling. I moved to Melbourne to further my studies, where I eventually decided to study a Bachelor of Environments at The University of Melbourne, gaining a strong interest in the built form and the life cycle of projects. I found out about APP through university and applied through the Graduate Program.

Given that I had a strong interest in both property and construction, I knew that APP would suit my knowledge and experience gained from my studies and would provide a good base to kick off my career within the industry.

I joined APP’s Melbourne branch and began in the Corporate Facilities team, working on the Formula 1 Grand Prix project and then later on the Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre redevelopment. Following the program, I chose to continue on as part of the Werribee team, seeing the project through to completion. This was a great project to be involved in as a graduate due to its size and complexity.  Within the three years I worked on this project, my skill base developed immensely from both a technical and contractual aspect, learning from the knowledge and experience of my team members and other key stakeholders.  It’s was also very rewarding being involved in a project from commencement through to completion.

APP have heavily supported my growth throughout my career so far. In particular, my team at Werribee were incredibly supportive and gave me the opportunity to further my skill set and knowledge. Special mention to TJ (Tynan John), my Project Director who has mentored me from day one and given me opportunities to take on challenging roles and responsibilities with a high level of support.
