APP manages a new Head Office Development for nib Health

In 2004, nib engaged APP to prepare a strategy for their long-term head office accommodation needs in Newcastle. APP’s approach was adopted by the Board of Directors and APP was engaged to deliver a new building in the Honeysuckle Precinct.

This project was a major commercial development in which APP Newcastle acted as Project Manager and Superintendent for the internal fitout, as well as working with the Base Building Developer on nib’s behalf to ensure the base building and the fitout were successfully integrated.

The role required full project management, including the negotiation of the development agreement, the fitout design process, the execution of the development agreement through building design and construction, and a fully documented fitout.

APP managed the Green Star certification process, and achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating under the Green Building v1.1 rating scheme. APP coordinated the documentation from all project parties including the client, design team contractor, subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure compliance prior to submission and assessment by the Green Building Council of Australia.

APP was also responsible for the management of various internal stakeholders throughout design and construction.
