Sustainability
Walking The Talk
At APP, our sustainability strategy is committed to reducing our environmental footprint, improving our working environment, enhancing the community in which we work and maintaining our economic strength. APP’s Sustainability Statement defines and communicates the sustainability vision for our organization. We enhance our community through substantial involvement with Redkite Charity and our participation in communal activities such as tree planting programs and Business Clean Up Australia Day. We will commence reporting on our sustainability performance in 2008, adopting the global reporting initiative (GRI) guidelines.
APP Corporation works in partnership with clients to shape their sustainability agenda, identify business opportunities, and deliver both corporate and project-based sustainability solutions. We understand that each client’s needs are different and we tailor solutions to address internal drivers. Our expertise lies in translating corporate sustainability objectives into successful programs to achieve environmental performance benchmarks, Green Star compliance, energy efficiency, carbon emission reduction and carbon neutral.
We are well informed and maintain a watching brief on developments in the regulatory environment including Energy Efficiency Opportunity (EEO) Act, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Act and the Australian Emissions Trading Scheme (AETS). We are actively involved in agenda-setting groups including the Green Building Council and Clean Energy Council.
We have a demonstrated track record in the delivery of sustainability outcomes in response to client needs. The following are some of APP’s landmark sustainability projects:
