Olympics & Major Events

APP had direct involvement in 19 out of 33 Olympic venues and projects worth $650m in the lead up to the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. In addition to traditional program and project management issues, these projects generally involved complex planning requirements, intense community consultation, extreme and uncompromising quality and design deliverables, and a highly charged multi-stakeholder delivery environment.

Through our results achieved on the Sydney 2000 Olympic-related projects, APP were engaged to manage the overlay for the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane, which was smaller in scale but similar in nature to the Olympics.

Five years later, our expertise continues to be relied upon as we are now working in conjunction with Kellogg Brown & Root to deliver the Overlay for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

APP is also providing project management and event management services to other major events including the IMF/World Bank Annual Board of Governors Meeting in Singapore in 2006.
